Hello,

Love the plugin, but am having a little trouble. Mostly, I’ve been looking for a solution to share articles on my site. But, I don’t want static rss feed from sites, but a curated list of articles that we select.

I’ve been sharing articles to flipboard and pocket and then using their rss feeds as the source for your plugin. But, the problem I’m encountering is that every source just shows up as Flipboard or Pocket. It doesn’t pull the author/site from the original article.

Have i missed a setting or is this not a functionality of the plugin?

Eric,

Thanks for taking a deeper look, but the links work fine. It’s the attribution of source.

While the links come in from the various articles, there’s no mention of the publishing site; Buzzfeed, BigStory, Slate, etc. Everything just says “Source: Flipboard”

I would like to have title & publishing site, and would even love author name if possible.

Hi @rwdbrooks,

Thanks for elaborating that. Yes, the Source attribute will display the Feed Sources that you have set for WP RSS Aggregator. In order to show the Title and the Publishing site, we’re afraid it’s not possible at the moment since we don’t have that functionality.

Moreover, we’re also not sure if that information also provided in the Flipboard/Pocket as well. WP RSS Aggregator can only import what’s within the RSS Feed. So if it’s not provided, then it wouldn’t be possible to retrieve that.

With regards to the author, though, have you tried to check the Show authors option in the Core General Display Setting? Does it work for you?

Thanks for taking another look.

I didn’t think to check the feed and it looks like it does have the author’s name, but not the publishing site.

And, I have tried the show authors setting, but it doesn’t show up.

When we checked the Pocket Feed URL, we didn’t find the author information (see below screenshot):

While when we checked the Flipboard Feed URL, it has one (see also below screenshot):

Can you please check the ones that doesn’t show up the author info coming from your Pocket or Flipboard Feed URL?
