    Hi there,

I have been using Yoast for a few years and have seen many updates and new features added to the plugin. I think the plugin is great and offers a variety of great features on the free version.

Over time the one thing that truly amazes me is the issue of setting a focus keyword then having the plural version of that keyword in the copy on your page but the plugin does not recognise it… Google and other search engines are most definitely smart enough to know that ‘chocolate bar’ and ‘chocolate bars’ are the same thing yet Yoast SEO plugin will not recognise a plural version on the page or in the URL or meta description.

It’s really annoying having to change plurals on the page to get a true Yaost score for the page then change them back and have my green smiley face guy go orange even though I know at heart he is a greeny. xD

Please can we get this issue fixed, I feel its way overdue?

    Thank you!

A few versions back, we introduced the concept of synonyms. This is actually applicable for plurals as well. You can learn more about it here — https://yoast.com/what-are-keyword-synonyms/

Please do note that we are always constantly updating the plugin, and eventually, the multiple focus keywords (in Yoast SEO Premium), as well as synonyms, will continue to be tweaked until we get the related keywords functionality as discussed in the article above.
