Hi,
Folders are virtuals, they are not created in the /uploads/buddydrive directory. They are a custom post type the file is attached to. I think the problem is related to javascript.
Please, can you create a new folder, then open it and try to upload a new file, then once the ajax spinner showes, check your browser’s javascript error console and tell me what’s the error message if any.
Then, can you try to create a folder, then instead of opening it, and making sure you’re at the “root” listing, try to upload a new file, you should have a step to choose the folder to attach the file to.
I’ll try to reproduce waiting for your feedback.
@imath – thank you for replying so quick… tried steps as suggested… unfortunately no errors in java console… i then went back to root and uploaded a test file… it asks for name, then privacy select box appears.., then the ajax uploader.. but no ask for folder step 🙁
The site is at http://smeak.com – any member that signs up, or use FB to sign up cam upload files… so maybe you can check… I know this is also personal Q, but I was also hoping to engage you possibly if u have time for paid work regarding yer missing avatar mystery man and knowledge of BP signup procedure
Just registered, and tested. It seems to work the way it should 😉
if you go on my buddydrive on your website, you’ll see that i’ve added a file in a public folder.

Once a folder is created, it’s automatically opened, and you just need to use the buddydrive bar to add a new file in this folder.
For the second part of your reply, i don’t thinks it’s the place to discuss about it, but now i registered to your site, you can use my email and tell me more about it 😉
