Folders too big

    All images of the ads are kept here:
    uploads/awpcp

    E ‘can create folder in this way:
    uploads/awpcp/2014/January
    uploads/awpcp/2014/February
    uploads/awpcp/2014/March
    uploads/awpcp/2014/April
    ….
    ?

    I have these problems:
    Very hard to find images of old ads with users deleted from BuddyPress. For the privacy law I have a duty to find images to those who ask. (The site is about topics very private).

    I also backup problems,
    BackWpup plugin writes error:
    ” [09-dic-2014 05:11:16] ERROR: If /web/htdocs/www.erosbook.it/home/wp-content/uploads/awpcp/wp_001338-74c2f3a1.jpg will be added to your backup archive, the archive will be too large for many file systems (over 2GB). You might want to consider splitting the backup job in multiple jobs with less files each.”
    How can I fix the problem?

    Hi Cristian,

    We can consider changing things for the folder creation–it doesn’t do that now, but that’s a reasonable suggestion. I’ll add it to the list.

    As for the backup issue–that’s something you’ll need to take up with the folks at your backup plugin. That’s not an error from our plugin so there’s nothing we can really do to help that. The suggestion above will help in the future, but it’s not available today.
