Follow button not working when SSL enabled

I have a wordpress.com follow button on my self-hosted site which is generated here It works very well but when I installed the Really Simple SSL plugin to make my website HTTPS, the follow button just disappears and when I try to generate the code from the above generator it would just say “Please check you’ve entered the address of a WordPress.com or Jetpack-powered site and try again.” Why is it so?
