• I’m trying to put a follow plugin on my girlfriend’s blog. I’ve tried “follow” by TheAdityaJain. The support page it lists can’t be found. The installation instructions say to create a page called “subscribe.html”. I’m using DreamHost and when I try and create this page it changes the name to “subscribe-2.html” which doesn’t not help. You’d think it would only do this if a “subscribe.html” already existed but it doesn’t.

The other plugin I’ve tried is jetpack. You have to connect it to a wordpress.com account but when I try and connect it to wordpress.com I get the following error:

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible.
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 503]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/

Their support page hasn’t helped with this particular error. I don’t see anywhere to put in the connection details with my wordpress.com account.

It doesn’t matter to me what plugin I use. If someone can help with the above or point me to another plugin that would work I’d be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

I think this could work if I could create a “subscribe” page. DreamHost won’t let me do that, only a “subscribe-2” page.

Not knowing plugin code, is there anyone who could point me to where in the code I could change the referece from “subscribe” to subscribe-2″?
