• Hi,

    I’ve been using the Sydney Theme for years with SiteOrigin. Since an update the font in the main menu is not coherent anymore. I defined it in the additional css section, it worked fine before.

    #mainnav ul li a {
    font-size: 18px;
    font-family: montserrat;
    }

    Can anyone help?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @skuehn,

    Thanks for contacting us.

    I inspected your site’s main menu and noticed that the style you defined is being applied on Desktop. However, it doesn’t seem to be applied on mobile devices.

    A report has been created about this issue to notify our development team so they can investigate this further. We’ll send you an update as soon as we have more details from the team.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi Rajab Said,

    thank you for your reply!

    I’ll try to describe the problem in more detail. On the start page everything is fine, but the font-family in the menu switches on some of the subpages (not on all for some reason) from „Montserrat“ to „Crimson Text“. Crimson Text is the font I use for the body. The problem seems to be tied somehow to the typography section. If I change the chosen font-family for the body the font-family of the menu on the affected subpages changes, too.

    Do you have any idea why that happens?

    Hi @skuehn,

    Thanks for sharing these details.

    I’m not sure of the exact cause yet, but our development team is investigating this issue, and I’ll update as soon as I have more details from the team.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Thank you! I hope, they can solve it.

    Hi @skuehn,

    Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

    We’ve released v2.58 which fixes a font loading issue. If you haven’t updated the theme yet, please do so and let us know if that resolves the issue for you.

    To ensure you’re viewing the updated version of the page, you may want to clear all caches, including both plugin and browser caches.

    Thanks.

    Hi Rajab Said,

    thank you for your message! I installed the new version, cleared the cache and checked in different browsers. But the problem still remains. Weirdly enough, in the costumizer the fonts appear different (not like I want though, it’s all in one font and varying in line weight). Maybe I missed a cache somewhere? But anyhow, it doesn’t show as I defined it in the custom CSS or the typography section. Is there a way that I can send you a screenshot?

    Hi @skuehn,

    Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

    Would you mind uploading the screenshot to Google Drive or any media sharing platform and then share the link here so that I can check the issue for you?

    Thank you!
