Fonts still loading from gstatic

    Hi!
    I just found your plugin and gave it a try.
    Everything works fine but on my theme (listingpro) “Remove Google Fonts” doesn’t work. So there are still connextions to fonts.gstatic.com

    Any idea how to fix this?

    Basically i want to lower the http requests.

    Hi Stephan,

    Thanks for giving OMGF a try!

    Your theme uses the Web Font Loader to load the fonts. Since they’re loaded using Javascript OMGF can’t detect them. But we’re not lost yet 🙂

    What I suggest you do is the following:
    – Check if your theme offers an option to disable the Web Font Loader or Google Fonts altogether,
    – If not, use a child theme to disable the Web Font Loader.
    – Then enable the Web Font Loader in OMGF (it uses a local, more recent copy :)) and create the stylesheet as you would normally!

    Unfortunately the theme offers no such option.
    I will dive into the child theme. I’m not a developer but i think this is doable.
