Hello, the mapped url wont load font icons and the design is quite different as well.
What might that be and how to correct it please?

Hello Mathias, thanks.
After several support chats with Bluehost they came to a conclusion that the code modification you show in that article is only possible with dedicated hosting. I am on a shared one.

Do you know an alternative for sharing hostings?

I got it!
just placed the code above in my wordpress root’s htaccess:

Header add Access-Control-Allow-Origin “*”
Header add Access-Control-Allow-Methods: “GET,POST,OPTIONS,DELETE,PUT”

as shown here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14467673/enable-cors-in-htaccess
