• I installed and activated the Footnotes (v3.3) plugin, but it doesn’t seem to be functioning as advertised. Given the number of people who appear to be using it quite successfully, the good money is on operator error. Any idea what could be wrong? I tried restarting Apache, in case that might help; didn’t make a difference. The footnotes implementation is sufficiently simple that I’m pretty confident I’m formatting them correctly.

    Any ideas?

    Muchas gracias….

what footnotes plugin, how about a link? and why would you restart apache?

I dont mean to be rude but that really suggests you havent got a clue what you are doing 🙂 Please dont be offended, I said that with a smile, and I really am smiling.

The footnote plugin is this one:

Restart apache … seemed like a good idea at the time. 🙂

No offense taken — your observation is correct, I don’t know what I’m doing. Please feel free to apply clue liberally.

Okay, I finally figured this out. There seems to be a bug if the footnote has a colon on it; this also adversely affects URLs.

ohh Im glad — 🙂 I completely spaced on coming back to this or rather that other thread. I’m so sorry, it wasnt on purpose.
