Hi @dimmone,
Thanks for your review. We understand that you’re not totally satisfied with Yoast SEO. Please, find our comments below:
- We understand that you’d like to fine-tune some of the plugin settings. Please, note that instead of providing tons of very specific settings in our plugin, which may be confusing for the average user and may be configured wrongly, we adopt a simpler approach and provide a minimum set of settings that perfectly serve 99.9% of our users. You can learn more about our product philosophy here. Of course, more advanced users can use the Yoast SEO API to configure the plugin to fit their needs.
- We’d like to clarify that Yoast SEO is only able to analyze content added to the main WordPress editor for the reasons explained in this article. Content added to theme/plugin-specific modules is not visible to our plugin by default, however, some page builders like Divi have added compatibility with our plugin. For Elementor, we provide seamless integration which means you can optimize your content right inside the Elementor site builder. That said, we may consider integrating with other well-known page builders in the future.
As for the price of the premium plugin, we’d like to point out that not every user needs the premium plugin. The main features of the plugin are available in both the free and premium versions: XML sitemaps, content and readability analysis, Google preview, social media optimization, canonical URLs, breadcrumbs, schema markup, etc. Obviously, Yoast SEO free doesn’t come with the premium features that Yoast SEO Premium includes, however, you may not need them as Yoast SEO free perfectly suits the average user’s needs.
