*** Forbidden ***

    On the page mentioned, when the Enquiry form on this WooCommerce page is completed, the submission fails with “*** Forbidden ***”, and when that dialogue box is closed, underneath is the following text.

    {“apbct”:{“blocked”:true,”comment”:”*** Forbidden. ***”,”stop_script”:0}}

    I read and followed this article, point 2, but it hasn’t fixed the issue.

    Hello.

    Please, update the CleanTalk Anti-Spam WordPress plugin to version 6.20: https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/cleantalk-spam-protect.6.20.zip. Our update guide is here: https://cleantalk.org/help/update-wordpress.

    We suggest to change the following Anti-Spam plugin settings:

    • Set cookies to Off;
    • Use Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library to On.

    Please do not forget to purge all website cache after that.

    Hi Katereji,

    Thanks for coming back to me. I have tried all your suggestions, and sorry to say the problem still persists. I have also tried with “Use static keys for JavaScript check” at both On and Auto alongside your new settings, and the same with “Use static keys for JavaScript check” at both On and Off.

    Anything else I can try?

    Hello @elimelight,

    Please do the following:
    WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> set the option “Set cookies” to “Store data in the website database (alternative mechanism)” —> Save Changes.

    Hi, thank you for the further suggestion, but it was to no avail. I have decided to swap to a different plugin for the purpose of the Product Enquiry button, and the replacement works just fine without any custom settings.

    In case it helps anyone, the plugin that didn’t work for me is “Product Enquiry for WooCommerce” by WisdmLabs (not updated for 1 year), and the one that is now working is “Enquiry Quotation for WooCommerce” by PI Websolutions.
