Will it be a popup that pops up telling you to add 1 or more categories, if no categories is chosen?
We are going to add bulk upload to the free version. This means that when you choose a category, all uploaded images will be assigned to it automatically. We plan that it would be only one category, other bulk features will still be available in the PRO version.
I think, after adding this we can also add an option for “default upload category”, and will consider also “forced upload category”. I think that in the free version it will be only one category.
Since the feature isn’t implemented even in alpha version yet, I can’t say how exactly it will work. We are still pondering on implementation. Your (and others) suggestions are welcomed!

Okay, I understand.
For me, “force upload category” is the only feature mentioned that is usefull. At least I don’t have any need for the other features, and the force feature would be a must have for the PRO version.
Same – force upload category is a must for me as well 🙂
Requiring at least once category be selected before an item can be uploaded/saved.
