• I had an issue that after I initiated SSL on my website the gallery’s were giving mixed content warning. Here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/galley-not-loading-correctly-after-ssl-install/.
But after I clicked Force Original Thumbs on the gallery I no longer have the issue.

I have looked and cannot find out why this would be so.
Also by using Force Original Thumbs is that likely to slow down the loading or something.

When I was getting the mixed content warning the FF console was telling me

Loading mixed (insecure) display content “http://general numpty’s site.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/cache/2018/03/photo-01/1365478954.jpg” on a secure page[Learn More]

I had my media settings set at 0 for thumbs and medium and set the large at 1200×1200. Which is what I upload my images at after optimising. I did this because I noticed that in my uploads folder I was still getting 300×200 768×512 1024×683 and the original 1200×800 image.
