Force Public Cache URls

I have a question about the caching settings. Under Cache there is the option “Force Public Cache URls”. There I have entered the value “/news/ 3600”. The default value for “Default Public Cache TTL” is 604800. Unfortunately the entry “/news/ 3600” does nothing. The entry /author/name/ 3600 works fine.

Have I misunderstood something about this entry?

If this is not the right way, how can I default a TTL of 3600 seconds for individual pages?

If I purging the pages via “Scheduled Purge URLs”, I can only purge the pages daily.

So how can I update certain pages every hour?
