Force strong password

Is there a way to ensue that the users create strong passwords? Right now all I see is # of characters.

A long password is stronger than a ‘complex’ password. To give you an example, password that is ‘C0mp!ex’ would take a computer about seven minutes to crack. While a password that is ‘complex password’ would take a computer about 224 million years to crack. As a security professional, I would recommend you have your users pick passwords that are longer vs more complex. As soon as you force them to use complex password and conform to some set of rules, you run a very good chance of them writing it down or recording it someplace. This voids all attempts at security.
