Force Sync Reliability & Troubleshooting

    Is WordPress Users Force Sync intended to be a novelty tool, that only works on occasion–or is intended to be a reliable method for keeping the WordPress Users list up-to-date? I can tap Force Sync all day long, and newly minted WordPress Users refuse to populate the corresponding MailPoet list. Has anybody else experienced this problem–and what solutions have been offered to remedy the situation? Thanks for your reply.

    Hi there @msansom,

    To confirm I understand the issue you are experiencing, when you click “Force Sync” under “WordPress Users” sync, the list sometimes correctly updates and displays new WordPress Users and sometimes it doesn’t work.

    Is that it? If so, I couldn’t reproduce this on my site. Can you please let me know what’s your MailPoet and WordPress versions?

    Gui,

    I’m using WordPress 5.8.1 and MailPoet 3.73.1. Since writing, I haven’t had any issues with MailPoet updating lists by itself–but pulling new customers over with sync is sporadic. Not a huge deal right now, but could be later on–when my list starts to grow.

    Hi there @msansom,

    Thank you for the extra details.

    I understand your concern and that’s not expected. The Force Sync should work consistently.

    I’m wondering if some caching system could be affecting this functionality. If you have any cache plugins and server-caching I’d recommend disabling them and testing the sync tool to see if it works better.
