  • @behroooz If you want a change applied to all Posts, it would need to be applied to SEO>Search Appearance>Content Types>Posts for ‘meta description.’ However, the template settings for this area only affect posts that you haven’t configured a meta description for.

    hi
    yes i know it

i need change old posts meta description with bulk

    Hi,

We understand you have old posts with a meta description you wrote for it. Yoast does not have a way to remove those old meta descriptions on those pages with a single click.

Instead, you will need to go to SEO-Tools-Bulk Editor and click on Meta Descriptions. This will show a list of posts with the meta descriptions you wrote for them. You can then go through each one in a faster manner to update and remove it.

i have 10000 posts and its not easy to update one by one 🙁

I suggest adding a new feature to the plugin to change all the meta in the old posts

    thank you

@behroooz We certainly do understand it’s not easy to update if you have a very large number of posts.

As for suggesting a new feature for our plugin, we’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new feature request for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You can create a new issue to submit your feature request. You will need an account to create one.

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
