Forced password reset bug for multisite super admin

    Site-breaking bug.

    Not sure how this happened, but the flag for requiring a password reset got flipped on the super admin account on one of my client’s sites. But when I try to go through the reset process, it sends the email just fine but clicking the link gives me the ol’ “This key appears to be invalid” error, preventing the super admin from logging in OR resetting the password.

    Obviously I’d like to get this bug addressed, but in the meantime I want to delete the database row that’s requiring the password reset. Can you point me in the right direction?

    While Login Security Solution has a mechanism to indicate a password must be reset, the actual process of doing the reset is via WordPress core.

    Chances are there’s some user error going on here. Perhaps putting in the wrong user name or getting the link from an old password reset email. I don’t know.
