Foreign letters in php text

    I’m setting up and editing two non-English websites, with different themes.
    In both cases when I edit some texts in php files that will appear on the websites, it shows some diamond?-symbol instead of the letter I want to appear( such as í, ö, ð, etc… ).

    I cant seem to google the right answer to my dilemma. I have checked the wp-config.php and it has utf8 charset. All the letter are fine when writing in posts and pages, its just when I edit the text in the php file.

    Can somebody please help me? 🙂
