Forgets my setting when reopening widget

I have three categories that I am using as three mock blogs on my site and using the Custom Sidebars plugin with this. I drop this widget into each of my three sidebars and set each sidebar to its own category. This works fine when first set. If I go back to any of my widgets previously set the previous settings are gone and the widget is basically blank.
