Forgot Password not working

We have spent time looking into this, and the first thing to point out is that your action=lostpassword link strangely takes you to an action=forgot .

The default action in WordPress is to display the login box, which is why the login box is appearing, but it is as though the lost password functionality has been removed.

White Label CMS will hide the forgot password link using CSS, but that is all it will do. White Label CMS nor WordPress allow you to remove the forgotten password functionality (but some plugins and themes do). So we would need to figure out what was removing/blocking that functionality.

The second thing we noticed is that sometimes the login logo appears as a broken image. I can see from your code you are using White Label CMS and Kodeo Admin UI to both replace the login logo:

There may be a conflict there that is causing this broken image to happen.

We have looked around the support forums for people who have described a similar problem, and in some cases, the solution was to remove caching on the login pages. We don’t think that is the issue, but perhaps something you could try as well.

I am sure this is a frustrating answer, as it does not provide a solution, especially as you point out when you disable the plugin, the issue stops.

Can you please try this on your staging site.

Reset the White Label CMS plugin (there is a link at the bottom of the White Label CMS setting page), then de-activate the plugin. Then re-activate, but don’t go to the settings page (don’t save anything).

At this point, there will be no settings saved at all in relation to the plugin.

Log out and please try to see if the issue persists.

We don’t know what is causing the redirect to the action=forgot.

As you can see from this testing site we can’t recreate the issue you are describing:

I assume in your BuddyBoss settings you have it set up as a Private Network, and are restricting site access to only logged-in members.

The next steps would be to get you to install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin from WordPress to let us know which plugins you are using, to see if we can recreate the issue.
