    Hi,
I am trying to integrate USP into my website but I am getting quite a few errors. It is set up as the short code in a page.

My first problem was that the new categories I have added are not showing up in the form. Only one shows up which is the default one.

Secondly, when I changed some of the settings for what to display in the form, the category drop down disappears from the form. If I try to submit the form in this configuration, then it gives the error message “Error: Post category required”.

To try and fix it, I have tried resetting the plugin to default settings and starting again. This came up with the same problem after I amended what items should be displayed in the form.

I have also tried changing the theme which made no difference. The original was a standard theme as well I think though. I have also tried deactivating all the plugins for the site and still got the error.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Lawrence

    Hi Lawrence,

    Glad to help:

    1) “new categories I have added are not showing up in the form. Only one shows up which is the default one.”

You need to enable the categories that you want to display in the form. You can do that under the plugin’s category settings.

    2) “when I changed some of the settings for what to display in the form, the category drop down disappears from the form. If I try to submit the form in this configuration, then it gives the error message “Error: Post category required”.”

That isn’t normal.. what are the settings you are changing or working with?

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have worked it out. Both issues were to do with the hidden category setting. I assumed that this was to set a default category but it seems to hide it completely.

Not sure whether this is expected behavior or not but either way it now works.

    Thanks,

Yes, that is correct. The default category field is hidden by default. Either way, glad you got it sorted. Let me know if I can provide any further infos, glad to help.
