Form error message hooking into the_content

When the form isn’t completed correctly the error message is hooking into the_content on my page (it’s supposed to popup – even a message in the form itself would work)

There seems to be no success message..

Any help would be appreciated. I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins but no success. I am using the ‘Bones’ framework which may be the issue but I have no way to tell. Is there a way I can specify where the error message displays?

EDIT: I’ve tried in Twenty eleven and twenty twelve and still the same problem.
