I have a new site and have tried three different form plugins but none of them show the contact form. I have tried Ninja Forms, Form Maker and now Contact Form 7.
    Things I have tried:
    Deleted all other plugins
Removed shortcode, deleted form plugin, reinstalled plugin and reinstalled shortcode
Tested each form plugin separately with no other plugin installed
    Tested in different themes:
    Panoramic
    Twenty Sixteen
    Twenty Fifteen
    Added shortcode
Needless to say this has taken hours and no resolution yet.
    Here is a test page:

    Here is the shortcode:
    contact-form-7 id=”41″ title=”Contact form 1″]

  • Personally, I prefer Gravity Forms never had such problems with their shortcodes. However, I understand that they do not have a free version like Ninja Forms and Contact Form 7. I would advise posting about this in the correct support forum to get the best support since it is plugin specific issues.

    I don’t think it’s plugin specific.
None of the form plugins I have tested are working.
I have also posted and looked in those forums anyway.

Based on the info you have provided it sounds plugins specific to me. That is why I suggested posting in the plugins support forms. The only thing I can think of is that your server is disabling the plugin in the background because it has code that is crashing the server… that would be plugin specific, especially considering you are using the themes that come out of the box and still experiencing the problem.

That’s what I am thinking. I am using hostnine and most of my sites are hosted there (I have 18 sites there). I’ve never had a problem like this before with any contact form plugin or otherwise.
I have posted this issue in Contact form 7 forum, trying to isolate the issue. Thank you for your input.

Problem fixed, it was the hosting.
    From our chat conversation:
Using the PHP Selector tool in cPanel, I increased your PHP version to PHP 5.6, which is the current recommend version to run for WordPress.

After many hours of dealing with this issue, it’s been fixed!

I just realized that is what it could be myself and was going to throw that out there. Glad you figured it out. Sorry I did not think of that sooner.
