    Hi,
I really like your plugin especially for its simplicity. I am using it on one of our sites and suddenly started to get spam subscriptions. Because I had a really bad experience in one of other site getting few thousands spam subscriptions in only one day, I’ve activated the reCaptcha option.
The spam subscriptions stop but pages are looking pretty ugly especially on posts where there are 3 reCaptcha shown to our users.
Also, when there is more than 1 reCapctha on the page, nobody can subscribe because recaptcha is not working properly. I’ve test it with different browser versions and in most of them I couldn’t subscribe – this is a bug that you should look at.

Since we activated recapctha our subscription rate drastically dropped from 15-20 to zero or maximum 2 subscriptions daily.

Is there any way to offer protection using Goodbyecaptcha plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/goodbye-captcha ? We are using it on other web sites and we are not getting any spam at all.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Tianna,

There is currently no way to integrate the two plugin. It would involve building out an additional integration to ensure the two worked together.

The industry standard for form spam protection is Googles reCaptcha, so at the moment this is the only method for catching spammers and bots.

We have also implemented a honeypot field to help catch any users who are filling out all of the form fields – when they shouldn’t be (the hidden honeypot field should always remain empty).

We can certainly take a look as to what the issue may be when using multiple forms and multiple reCaptchas on a single page.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hi Evan,

    Thanks for your quick reply.
I know this will involve building the integration but I was thinking you will find the way to integrate the two plugins as the author of Mailchimp for wordpress did it.

Probably, the standard for form spam protection is Googles reCaptcha, but I’ve already described the issues I have with it while using your plugin – does not work! We are loosing lots of subscribers.

Also, just figured out there is somebody else asking for the same thing on their support page

I’ve just suggested another solution which in my case works pretty well.

    Ok,

Thank you for your input – we will take this into consideration in future releases. At the moment we have a few things slated for release before building out any additional add-ons.
