Format for Shortcode

I am trying to add shortcodes for the filter by attribute filters that I have developed. The only thing I see on the list of filters is something in the format [wpf-filters id=8]

How do I add these filters to a page, such as a category page? I tried pasting it into a shortcode block but it doesn’t seem to be in the right format.
