Formatting problems after theme update = still unresolved

    Six months ago I posted this topic:

    This issue is still unresolved. I would like some help from the theme author.

    To summarize: I have Colorway 3.4.9 installed with a child theme. Updating the theme causes major formatting issues, including:

    – removing styles for .container (for page content)
    – not displaying footer widgets

    I have this same problem—formatting lost on update from 3.6.5. What is the solution when using a child theme — which previously included the style.css file which is now empty!?
