• In the older version of WordPress, I could add formating (em, strong) within a link name or link desciption, such as:

Now, whenever I put that formatting in, it seems to actually print the in the link name. Is there a special formatting necessary to be able to add HTML formatting to links?
    Thanks,

  • Are you putting such formatting tags outside the href tag ?
Alternatively, you could create link classes……

No, I was trying to do it from within the editor – add a new link, and you add the URI, a link name and a short description. In 1.0, you could simply add the tags within the Link Name or Description, and it would format that text. Now, it prints them as if they were part of the text.
