I have created a few different forms using Forminator and I can preview them in WordPress. However when I paste the shortcode onto a page and upload the froms don’t appear on the website. I have enabled the “Load form using AJAX” and “Prevent page caching on form pages” options. I have also turned other plugins off, one by one, in case they were conflicting. As a test I used the very simple ‘standard’ contact form exactly as provided by Forminator (in case the more complex form I created was incorrect in some way). Even the standard template form won’t appear. Can anyone advise how I can fix my page or settings so that the form is visible? Many thanks.

    Hi @johnrhac,

Sorry to know that you are experiencing this issue.

I checked the mentioned URL and I was unable to see any form rendered on the page. I also checked the browser console to see if an error was logged but was unable to observe any.

Can you please confirm if you tried switching to a default WordPress theme and still notice the issue?

Wouldn’t you mind please sharing an export of the form using Google Drive or Pastebin.com so that we can take a closer look? I hope the following guide comes in handy: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John

Thanks Nebu. When I changed to a default WordPress theme the form worked! So it looks like our bespoke theme is preventing Forminator from working. Any suggestions?

Here is the export. Its the bog standard contact form provided with Forminator. The same happens with other forms I have drafted.

    Hello @johnrhac,

Unfortunately the code shared directly in your post couldn’t be imported, because it has been automatically changed by the post editor.

In order to find out what is causing the incompatibility issue, you can enable debug logging by modifying wp-config.php file, as explained here:
    https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/

After adjusting wp-config.php please flush any site caches, and refresh the page that contains the form.

In case there’s a PHP error, a new debug.log file should appear in /wp-content/ directory on the server. That file should contain the details about the error.

If you’d like our techs to review the file, could you please email us at [email protected] using the following template:

Subject: ATTN: WPMU DEV support - wp.org

    Please include:
    – Link back to this thread for reference: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/forminator-forms-not-appearing
    debug.log file from the server
    – the form export file, which you can download from the Forms section: https://prnt.sc/wCx6_4HONEEA

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Best Regards,
    Dmytro

Thank you Dmytro. That was semi-terrifying but I have managed to create a debug file and I have sent it with a screenshot of what the form should look like (from the preview) to the e-mail addy you mentioned, along with the export and other information. Many thanks, John.

    Hi @johnrhac

    Thanks for the information.

After temporarily importing the form to my test site, it worked as expected.

Also, I was not able to find any relevant error in your logs, as you mentioned the form does work with the WP default theme, the issue is related to it, could you please share your theme, please send it to [email protected] using the following template:

Subject: ATTN: WPMU DEV support – wp.org

    Please include:
    – Link back to this thread for reference: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/forminator-forms-not-appearing
    – Link to your theme installation package.

    Best regards,

Thank you Laura. I have sent you the theme as a zip file. regards, John.

The zip file was rejected several times as appearing to be spam. So I sent a message with rather a lot of attachments. Thanks, John.

Problem solved, thank you 🙂 . Amin noticed that footer didn’t enqueue the WordPress script. To fix this I added wp_footer(); function to my footer.php, as suggested by Amin. and …. BINGO! the forms now work. Thank you
