Forum attachments don’t upload

Hi,

I may, and hope, I’m just missing a setting. Posting to a forum shows the ‘upload file’ dialogue box, and it opens the finder to locate a file on the computer. That completes and lists the file name, but submitting the forum post leaves the attachment behind. There’s no indication that the file actually uploaded, nor is there any indication in the post. Posts show as if there was no attempt to upload an attachment. It appears that all the buttons are there, but without listing an error, the attachments just don’t upload.

So far, it was very rare that something like this happens, and in most cases there are two causes: the theme messes up the bbPress templates or there is an error or limitation on the server that causes uploads to fail (and there are upload failure problems that don’t generate errors).

Can you check your server error log for maybe some error related to the attachments upload?

I just had the same issue but it was because I wasn’t adding any text to the body of the post.
