Hi hatisenang,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Developing and supporting a free plugin takes a lot of time, effort, and money. It’s disheartening to see that while you didn’t take the time to leave a positive review after using our plugin, you did take the time to leave a negative one 🙁
Maybe you can suggest a better approach on how we could be supported in maintaining this free plugin?
Thank you,
Thank you for your reply. I admit I should have given a review long ago when I was happily using the plugin, and I will update my rating to three stars. However, that wouldn’t prevent me from reflecting my disappointment after the recent changes.
I appreciate the time and effort it takes to maintain a free plugin, but seeing the very features that made this plugin great now locked behind a paywall feels like a departure from the spirit of giving back to the WordPress community.
Instead of taking away what was already available, I would suggest focusing on adding new premium features. That way, the plugin can improve while still respecting the users who have been relying on it in its original form.
Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions, hatisenang! I will forward it to my colleagues.
@hatisenang A question that just came up: What are the features that you feel is missing the most?
By the way, feel free to revert to an older plugin version if you want: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-rollback/
Thanks!
@sixaxis One feature I would highly recommend, and that could be a great pro feature, is the ability to revert images that have been resized due to the ‘big image size threshold’ back to their original size. I’ve seen countless complaints from users who didn’t like their images suddenly showing up with ‘-scaled.jpg’, and as far as I know, there’s currently no easy way to revert them back to the original size.
Thanks hatisenang for the feedback! I’ll pass it to our developers and see what we can do 🙂
