Free shipping, minimum amount
-
Hi there,
We have problems with free shipping. In Woocommerce settings > shipping. As a shipping method we added free shipping, we want to show this from an minimum order amount of 50 euro. But no mather how we write this (50, 50.00 or 50,00) I’m getting an error:
50,00 is not a valid numeric value: there should be one decimal separator and it has to be after the thousands separator.Could you let me know how to fix this?

Hi @helpup,
Thank you for reaching out and for the detailed explanation of the issue. I understand how frustrating situations like this can be, and I’m sorry you’re experiencing it.
I tested this on my end but wasn’t able to reproduce the problem. Could you please confirm which currency your store is using? Additionally, sharing a short screen recording of what happens when you try to set the free shipping amount would be very helpful. You can use a tool like loom.com to record and share it.
Let me know once you have that, and I’ll take another look.
Thanks for the quick response.
We use euro as currency. Here you find a video: https://www.loom.com/share/deeb085b4e184d70a98ccf3eb3604bd5Hi @helpup,
What are you currently using as your thousand and decimal separators in your currency settings?
You can check this under WooCommerce > Settings > General scroll down to the Currency Options section.
Could you share what you have set for both separators? That’ll help us figure out what’s going on.
Hi @helpup,
Thank you for sharing the Loom video, it really helps to see exactly what happens on your end when you try entering the minimum amount for free shipping. The message saying “50 is not a valid numeric value” definitely gives us something specific to work with and I am keen to help you get this resolved smoothly.Alongside the great question from @shsajalchowdhury about your thousand and decimal separators, it would be helpful if you could also share your System Status Report. You can generate this under WooCommerce, Status, then use the “Get system report” button. Please share it using https://pastebin.com for readability.
It would also be useful to know when this behaviour started. Did everything work correctly before and then change after a recent update, or has this been happening since the initial setup.
Lastly, does this happen across all your shipping zones or just one in particular.Once I have these details, we can move forward with pinpointing the cause. Looking forward to your update.
Hi @helpup,
Thanks for sharing the snapshot of the settings.I see the issue, you’re using the same separator (comma) for both your thousand and decimal separators. This is likely causing the conflict.
Try changing your thousand separator to a period (.) instead, so you have:
Thousand separator: . (dot)
Decimal separator: , (comma)This should fix the issue. Give it a try and let me know if that works!
This is it! Sorry about this. Rookie mistake.
Thanks for the quick responses. Much appreciated!-
