Yes, you can configure the horizontal timeline in Cool Timeline Free version.
In order to create a horizontal timeline select “Horizontal” in “Select Layout” option from Cool Timeline Shortcode Generator Block.

Great, this works thank you. I only want to display the year on the timeline so when i set this in the shortcode, date-format=”Y”, for each story i get ‘2019’ displayed but not the Story year i set. The year displays correctly for each story. Is there another setting?
Sorry, also can i display the some of the content/detail for each event on the timeline itself? Currently the Date and the Title show but it would be great to have more event details on the timeline itself. Thank you again.
Regarding the same active year(2019). It seems like your active theme loop is overriding our plugin loop. Can you please share your website URL. You can create a timeline with all the content mentioned in the demo.
