• Free version excludes database tables not in Core.
This means any backup using the free version will produce an unusable restore if your sites uses plugins outside of Core.
If your site uses plugins outside of Core, you shouldn’t use the free plugin version.

    Hi there,

It seems a bit unreasonable to leave a 1 star review for a free plugin because it does not include a premium feature. For the vast majority of WordPress users the free plugin functions perfectly well.

If you have a site which requires a premium feature the solution to that problem is very obvious.
Your review doesn’t reflect a shortcoming in our plugin, merely the outcome of your own choice.

    Best regards,

I stand by my review. It’s not appropriate for the backup to proceed with no indication that backup tables not in core will not be backed up.

This can be resolved by attempting to restore a backup, which is always a best practice. The prospective user will then discover that a premium version is required. as the backup will not restore as delivered,

Is this really true??? I use the free version, and if I look at the logfile, it states that also the plugin tables are included in the backup…I’d be shocked if the backup is incomplete!
