French localization

Hi there,
I started to translate your plugin into French but the pot file is not up to date.
And when i generate the file from the source code it’s not the same from yours at all.
Can you please update the pot file.
Thx

Hi Bruno,
Thanks for reporting this!
I am busy preparing a new version which will include some more text so if you are not in a rush I’ll get the pot updated with the new release. Is that fine with you?
Thanks
Yep
I’ll wait for it.
bV99Hi Bruno,
the original pot file was partially created manually as there where not too many translations.
As the number of files in the plugin grow this would not be possible anymore and therefore I am going to automate the task from next release on (using Poedit for the string extraction).
This means that the new POT file will not match with the current one.
If you have already started the translations from the old file I am afraid that you will have to copy them over.
If that is too big of a task you can send me your translations and I’ll see how I can help in moving them to the new file. Thanks
Hi,
thanks for your concern.
Don’t worry the first file is only 200 sentences long.
I usually use poedit as well.
Send me the new pot file and i’ll do my best.
Regards
bVHi,
don’t want to hurry
Just to know, do you have any idea when the new version of the plugin will be released ?
Thank youHi,
the update should be ready within next week but you can get the updated POT file from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q04l1he1cvudiqn/basepress.pot?dl=0
I might end up doing slight changes but nothing major.
Thanks
Got it and look at it.
ThxJust to make thing easier in case you already have translations on the old file you can open it with PoEdit and then go to Catalog->Update from POT file.
You can then select the new POT file and it will load all the changes to your file.
That will avoid you to transfer the translations manually between files.
If you want to share the translation with other users you can send the file to me and I’ll add it to the plugin’s language folder. Thanks
The files mo/po are ready.
But, can you send me a plugin zip package (when you can) to check if the translation is relevant to the context. Furthemore French & English words have not the same lenght so the translation needs to be localized.

Hi Bruno,
I have sent you a private email for the update.
Just reply here as well just to make sure the email I used was correct!
You can keep the conversation from there. Thanks
Hi there,
Really sorry to bother you.
I recieved the file on the 29th but I’ve lost your email with the activation process.
Please can you send the info back in private ?
Thx BVHi Bruno,
I have sent the email again with the instructions for the activation.
I’ll wait for your email with the necessary info. Thanks
hey got it.
Thanks a lot.
I’m working on a big community project and i’ll use basepress for educational and “how to use” purpose.
For now it’s on 3 staging sites 2 on localhost & 1 on my private server to make all the tests. I’ll keep you informed and send you corrected translation files asap.Regards
