Fresh install changes files permissions

    Hi,

    A fresh install of this plugin cause the files of .htaccess and wp-config.php to revert their permissions to 644 from 444. WP is 5.2.2.

    1. Install 7.4.0
    2. The permissions for .htaccess and wp-config.php are probably now 644. Change them to 444 (I did using cpanel)
    3. Verify using the plugin file permission section they are OK now and has the green “OK” color bar
    4. Deactivate and then delete the plugin
    5. Install the plugin, same version, 7.4.0, and activate it
    6. Run the plugin file permissions test again – see that .htaccess and wp-config.php are now 644

    Please fix.

    Try and enable (if not already) the System Tweaks module.

    Also enable the File Writing Permissions setting of the module.

    To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.
