I’ve installed WP a dozen times both with scripts and manually and have had no problems. I’m trying to install WP at http://lisabruce.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php and am getting errors that I don’t know how to resolve:

Warning: Unknown(/home/WP-LC/wp-lc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(/home/WP-LC/wp-lc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

Warning: (null)() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘/home/WP-LC/wp-lc.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’/usr/lib/php:.:/usr/php4/lib/php:/usr/local/php4/lib/php’) in Unknown on line 0

I get the same errors whether I use the Softaculous script or manually. I’ve confirmed the db name, user, permissions of the user and the password but no luck.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

What version of PHP is on your server? WordPress requires 5.2.4.

I have a hard time believing Lunarpages would not be compatible but I checked and see:

    Database server
    Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
    Server type: MySQL
Server version: 5.5.32-cll – MySQL Community Server (GPL)
    Protocol version: 10
    Server charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

    Web server
    cpsrvd 11.40.0.26
Database client version: libmysql – 5.0.96
    PHP extension: mysqli

    phpMyAdmin
Version information: 4.0.8, latest stable version: 4.1.0

    This looks to be compatible.

They do not respond to any of my requests for help unfortunately.

Keith, bingo. Thank you! Apparently Lunarpages defaults to v4. Here’s my last correspondence in the event that it helps someone else:

    Hello nSomnius,

Thank you for contacting Lunarpages Support.

Regarding the error from the provided URL, it indicates that the server is running on PHP version 4 while wordpress requires PHP version 5. Since our cPanel runs dual PHP, versions 4.x and 5.x. and it’s running on versions 4 by default.

Here is some further information and a full explanation for your reference: http://wiki.lunarpages.com/Enable_PHP_5

I’ve already updated it to version 5 and the issue has already been fixed. I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.
