• Hello there!

I have installed a wordpress theme and then i tried to upload images to the media library, but then i got an error:
    FORBIDDEN
YOU DON’T HAVE PERMISSION TO ACCESS /WP-CONTENT/UPLOADS/2012/02/IMAGE.JPG ON THIS SERVER.

    1. the images aren’t uploaded, although it states that they are only by name
    2. there is also a problem with the blog posts when i try to access a single post:
    Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

I have no idea how to figure that out. Early today I spoke it the hosting provider and they said that the problem is not in them.

Thank you in advance for your help! If you need more information about the problem, please let me know.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thank you a lot for your reply!

I did everything which you have mentioned, but nothing worked – still the same problem.
    Any more suggestions?

Sorry for my whining, but the problem still exists.

I tried messing around different permissions and modifying the .htaccess file, but still it doesn’t work.

Does anyone have the slightest idea what i should do?
