    Hello,

On our WordPress site, we are using the WP Mail SMTP plugin, and the From Email is set to an address that does not match the live site domain (it uses a different domain email). We have connected our SendLayer account using the API, and the Force From Email option is enabled.

However, when the site sends emails to users, the From Email appears as [email protected], even though this email address does not exist.

Initially, we thought there might be some customization overriding the setting, so we deactivated all plugins except WP Mail SMTP and activated a default theme. After that, we created a new user using the default WordPress user creation process, but the email was still sent from [email protected].

We are unsure why it is choosing the live site domain instead of using the email configured in the WP Mail SMTP settings.

I have already connected with SendLayer support as well. Please feel free to contact me via email, and I can provide more details if needed.

    Thank you.

    Hi @sayan2407 ,

Thanks for reaching out, and I am so sorry to hear about the trouble.

It looks like, the API key is incorrect or something going wrong with the old API key. Could you please try after generating a new API key, and use that API key with the correct domain selected within your account, and see how it goes?

    Hope this helps. Thanks 🙂

    Hi @sayan2407 ,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Regards.
