From URL function in Media Tab

    any update on this? I am interested in using this plugin/widget; however it is a necessity for my site to have add image from URL functionality.

    I don’t recall why we couldn’t support image url functionality but a few years ago we explicitly removed that. If you’d like to submit a patch with support for image url then I’m happy to review it and possibly include it but I don’t have any plans to support it.
