Hi Tanja,
thanks for your interest in our plugins!
Adding markers from frontend is currently supported by building a custom addon using the MapsMarker API (details at https://www.mapsmarker.com/mapsmarker-api) – for a future pro release we plan to add native frontend-adding support, anyway this will still take some time as other features are more urgent, so I kindly ask you for your patience here…
best,
Robert
Hi,
Thanks for a great plug-in. I am looking for the same feature and for me it would be fine, as an initial step, if the user could get lat/lon presented when the user positioning a marker on a certain place on the map.

Hi Janne,
on backend, you have to switch to the advanced editor to see the latitude and longitude values of the current position

Hi,
Yes ok, but I would like to provide it on the frontend.

ah, ok – didnt understand you correctly in the first place. Displaying lat+lon values on frontend is currently only possible by accessing the GeoJSON feed for markers…
Hi,
Yes I have tried that and it is fine when it comes to adding a marker and displaying an already stored marker. But my problem is that I would like to present a map in frontend and the user shall be able to move a marker over the map and positioning it on a certain place and then read the lat+lon values for that position. In the same way as you can do in for instance google map. Later I would also like that the user can store the marker and I later can add it to a certain layer. I know I can do it via the API but I cannot find a way to display a map to help the user to positioning the marker at the right place.
Can I put that on the wish list 🙂
