the front end post doesn’t seem to work without using user role editor. i cannot upload media without using user role editor. user have to be allowed to edit post in user role editor before front end editor works. the problem is when i allow edit post in user role editor it exposes user email and ip address to all user making the admin comment bar visible to all users. so you say just remove user role editor plugin and the problem should be solved .wrong, when i remove user role editor plugin word press default status takes over and wont allow front end editor to up load media you get error message please try again later . later never comes.this is serious i don’t want people to get hacked from using my sight. in this day and age i don’t understand how wordpress can be so careless with such important information please help!

    Hi,

You do NOT have to change role capabilities to be able to upload pictures. Be aware that subscriber and contributor is not allowed to upload images according to standard wp capabilities, and as such it wont be possible for these roles.

I have been very strict with using standard wordpress role capabilities, and have tested it quite extensively.

I know there is a conflict if you disable admin access in the plugin: Theme My Login, and this was the reason for introducing the feature to disable the admin bar in Frontier post.

Your problems is most likely related to another plugin.

I am sorry, if I misunderstood your question, but then try and explain with examples 🙂

thanks for the response, i think your plugin is fantastic. i did manage to get it to functions .i had to sacrifice the members mail plugin.if i remove user role editor wordpress wont allow the frontier post to upload mp3 or photos i didn’ check if it would let me post. it tells me i don’t have permission. i agree i think some other plugin or wp is the problem soon as i finish this sight i will contribute to your great work thank you.
