Hi.
I’m creating an events site where users will publish them theirselves through a front end form containing custom fields. They can publish text and one image that is an image custom field. Does your plugin resize and compress also images uploaded through a form and as a custom field as well as a common manually uploaded image inside a post or a CPT? Thank you

Hi kkriss,

I’m not really sure how exactly your solution is working, so the best you can do is try it yourself.

However, if it doesn’t work, you can always use ShortPixel Image Optimizer and its custom media folders functionality. That will work for sure! Here you have more information: https://shortpixel.com/knowledge-base/article/how-to-optimize-images-in-wordpress-themes-and-plugins/

Hi Gerard.
Will try, but what I need is that the image and resize will be stored at once, when the image is uploaded. I read that the Optimizer scans a folder every 6 hours and that’s not what I need. Will try Resmush and let you know. Thanks

Hi kkriss,

You can actually configure ShortPixel Image Optimizer the way you want, even scanning the folders more often. You just need to use WP-CLI 🙂
