Please, deactivate the plugin with the “Complete deactivation” option enabled and then activate it again.
- Enter the Security by Cleantalk plugin settings. (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Security by Cleantalk -> General settings tab)
- Check the last settings “Complete deactivation” and save changes.
- Deactivate the plugin on the “Plugins” page in WordPess Dashboard.
- Then activate it.
- Proceed to the plugin’s settings. (See item 1.)

Thanks for the speedy reply this worked.
A small addition to the answer. After complete deactivation, you will need to re-enter the Access Key. It can be found in the CleanTalk dashboard opposite the site name.
Also, before doing a complete deactivation, try clicking the “Synchronize with Cloud” button in the plugin settings.
This has started happening again, every time I log on despite having followed your instructions. I get the message Scheduled: background_scan: Frontend result send: Wrong urls_checked
