Frontend upload of the members

I have another suggestion for the upload function in the frontend.

It would be helpful to have two checkboxes.

Other members are allowed to upload images and create albums in this album: Yes | No

If Yes, the album owner would be “Public”.

If No, the album owner would be the “Member”.

Currently, I don’t see a way for members to do this themselves.

This currently needs to be done by the administrator in the backend.

It would also be good if the member who created the album could also edit his authorization afterwards.

I have no idea if you can even implement that.

Users can delete their own photos and albums at the frontend
Check Advanced settings -> Admin -> V -> Items 8 and 9

But only for pictures and not for albums.

Then members can delete all public albums.

I don’t want to grant those rights.

It would be better if they could only delete their own albums.

But if that doesn’t work, it’s not a big deal.

Then I, as the admin, will have a bit work to do. 😉

I totally agree that this should not be possible.

From the changelog:
* Non admin users and non wppa superusers can no longer delete public albums but only their own albums when user delete albums is enabled in Advanced settings -> Admin -> II -> Item 6: User delete albums.

Everything is working perfectly now.

Now members can delete or rename their own albums, but others cannot. 🙂

On the frontend edit photo info users can now also move their photo to a different album.

From the changelog:

* Added checkbox album for frontend user update photo, so the user can move his own photo from his own or public album to a different own or public album.
See Advanced settings -> Admin -> V -> Item 5.

Do you also want such an option to change an albums parent?

I changed my settings.

When I click Edit, nothing happens.

But it didn’t work for me before either.

The picture shows the correct things.
You should get a popup window after a few seconds with the edit form

You have something looping. Can you switch off lazy load for the moment?

Do not mind, but it is on Advanced settings -> System -> I -> Item 23

I disabled lazy load on filmthumbnails as it was the looping one.

I also implemented changing parent on the frontend edit album info dialog.
Enable it on Advannced settings -> Admin -> II -> Item 5

I have adopted these settings and cleared the cache.

In the browser I allowed popup.

Still, nothing happens when I click Edit.

You have a server error at the very moment you click the BEARBEITEN button, see:

Pls try to find the error description in the server error log.

You can try Advanced settings -> System -> I -> item 5: Frontend Ajax method, set it to Backend method or By redirection

I did some further testing, i really need to know the server error message.
Other ajax methods will most likely also fail.
