I can assure our plugin works with no flaws on a plain vanilla WordPress instance with the default theme and with no other plugins. It is also compatible with the vast majority of plugins/themes. From time to time we receive reports, which usually are depending on conflicts with another plugin (or the theme in some cases). The first step is to find the source of the conflict, then we’ll try to find a fix together with the author of the other plugin/theme.
Please try to selectively deactivate each other plugin (you said you deactivate all the widgets but that’s not enough), until you find the conflicting one. You may also try to temporarily switch to another theme.

Thanks for the quick response.
I have followed your advice and am able to report that there is conflict between your plugin and ‘Nextend Image Magnifier’.
I have tried the combination on other themes with the same result.

the conflict you’re talking about was already reported a few months ago.
Please see the relevant topic, which also contains a patch.
I reported this issue to the author of “Nextend Image Magnifier”, but I never had a reply. Feel free to solicit them for an update to their plugin.
