• I’m trying to upload a new plugin but I’m getting an error that my user/password is incorrect. I also can’t update wordpress or any plugins.

In WordPress after error it shows the connection information. The password appears shorter than it really it is. It is grey and won’t let me change it. How/where do I change it? It is already added to the wp-config file and correct. Please advise…I’m getting frustrated.

That’s probably why you can’t edit it (greyed out) from the dialog in the dashboard. it’s hard-coded in wp-config.

Can you still log into your ftp account using an ftp client?

Yes, I can log into Core FTP with no problems.

Take a look in your wp-config.php file just to be absolutely sure that the ftp username and password you have defined there are still correct for the account that you’re using. [edit] Check FTP_USER, FTP_PASS and FTP_HOST, just to verify that they still match what you would expect them to be.
