ftp problem

    I am trying to install a plugin in wordpress latest version. it asks for me to put in my ftp information and tells me I cannot connect. i have tried the logins on filezilla with no problem what am i doing wrong?

    You probably are doing nothing wrong. There could be security measures in place that prevent WP from manipulating the file system as it normally would. I suggest contacting your host’s tech support for help in resolving any security measures that might be in place.

    Since you can connect via FileZilla, as a workaround, you could upload all the individual plugin files via FileZilla. Once the files are in place, you can activate the plugin from the WP plugins admin screen.
