I am trying to create a FTP (FTPS Explicit SSL-FTP) backup for a customer of mine. During the setting process, when I am trying to save+test connection, a pop-up error is returned: “Error in cloud configuration”.

I am using exactly the same settings I had in my former Legacy task. Meaning I can not delete this old legacy task for now.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your message.

Generally, the “Error in cloud configuration” message points towards some issue or mismatch in the FTP/FTPS configuration itself.

Since you mentioned the same credentials/settings are working in the old legacy task, could you please double-check things like:

    • host
    • port
    • passive mode
    • FTPS Explicit SSL selection
    • remote folder/path

As a quick test, could you also try creating a completely new FTP destination configuration in BackWPup and test it separately, just to see whether the connection succeeds there?

This will help determine whether the issue is tied to the migrated configuration or the FTP connection itself.

    Looking forward to your update.
